ABOUT THE VACANCIES 

1. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

One of our key clients, a globally recognised industrial business are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager for their Tanzania business. This role will responsible for driving initiatives from group level across Tanzania and oversee procurement and category performance.

DUTIES
▪︎ Developing and implementing KPIs across the Supply Chain division
▪︎ Working closely with other departments (e.g. HR, sales, finance, industrial) to identify favourable vendors and distribution partners
▪︎ Push cost saving initiatives in line with group and regional strategy
▪︎ Working closely with Category Managers to maintain availability of materials and services
▪︎ Managing negotiations with external providers
▪︎ Identifying and implementing cost saving efficiencies
▪︎ Overseeing contractual relationships with external transport providers
▪︎ Reviewing distribution pattern, ensuring cost minimisation
▪︎ Managing all inbound and outbound traffic, communicating with production and sales teams whilst ensuring there is sufficient transport capacity
▪︎ Managing Health and Safety within procurement
▪︎ Offering technical support and strong leadership to the procurement team
▪︎ Managing the procurement department’s
budget

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 
▪︎ 5+ years in a similar Procurement/Supply Chain role
▪︎ Strong leadership skills, with experience developing staff
▪︎ Financial experience, including analysis, budgeting, forecasting
▪︎ Excellent tender and contract procurement skills
▪︎ E-Procurement Tools experience
▪︎ Fluent in both English and Kiswahili (verbal and written)
▪︎ Bachelor’s degree educated in Procurement, Logistics or similar with relevant professional qualifications and memberships
▪︎ Strong data analytical skills

2. FINANCIAL SYSTEMS MANAGER

Job Terms: Permanent

One of our key clients, a forestry business with operations around East Africa, have a current requirement for a Financial Systems Manager to join them. Based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, this role will look after their ERP systems across the group and report into the Group Finance Manager.

DUTIES
▪︎ Maintaining the ERP system (Sage X3), carrying out installations of patches and modules as required by the business
▪︎ Providing systems administration for Sage X3, working with external partners such as Sage UK
▪︎ Carrying out regular software upgrades, ensuring they keen to the planned schedule
▪︎ Regularly reviewing all accounting records in X3
▪︎ Regularly reviewing the system controls, ensuring they are strong and making recommendations to rectify any points of weakness
▪︎ Supporting the finance and accounting teams
▪︎ Managing data flows in planning and reporting environments
▪︎ Maintaining licences of Office 365 and software packages.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 
▪︎ Degree educated (master’s preferred) in Information Technology or similar subject
▪︎ 5+ years’ experience working with ERP (Sage X3 preferable), working as a technical consultant or administrator
▪︎ Design and build experience within ERP
▪︎ Experience within forestry, agriculture, building materials, FMCG or other manufacturing industries
▪︎ 3+ years’ experience with Windows Servers
▪︎ Strong understanding of SQL Server
