ABOUT THE MINISTRY OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND TOURISM

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism is the government ministry of Tanzania that is responsible for the management of natural resources and cultural resources and for the development of the tourism industry. It has a wide range of investments in various tourist resources and tourism industry projects.

ABOUT THE VACANCIES 

1. FORESTRY OFFICER GRADE II OFFICE - 7 POST

POST CATEGORY (S): RESEARCH, SCIENCE AND BIOTECH 

DUTIES:
▪︎ Managing the planting and care of trees and forests.
▪︎ Managing the development of forests of not more than 5,000 hectares or natural forests not exceeding 10,000 hectares.
▪︎ Doing forest research.
▪︎ Implementing Forestry Policy and Laws.
▪︎ Conducting Assistant Forestry Training.
▪︎ Collecting forest data.
▪︎ To conduct forest inspections.
▪︎ Planning and testing of wooden bridges.
▪︎ Controlling licensing and tree harvesting.
▪︎ Providing advice and training to the public on the development and sustainable use of trees for citizens.
▪︎ Conducting forest resource estimation.
▪︎ Locating and mapping of forests.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
▪︎ Recruitment of Forestry from Sokoine Agricultural University or other Government recognized Universities.

2. WILDLIFE ANIMALS OFFICER II- 2 POST

POST CATEGORY (S): TOURISM AND TRAVEL

DUTIES:
▪︎ Implementing stakeholder engagement activities in conservation;
▪︎ Controlling the issuance of trophy business licenses and permits to capture live animals;
▪︎ Participate in resolving wildlife conflict disputes
▪︎ To regulate the illegal use of hunting licenses and to ensure compliance with wildlife use;
▪︎ To control wildlife use;
▪︎ Monitor the implementation of various wildlife conservation guidelines;
▪︎ Reviewing the capture rates of live animals for trade and breeding;
▪︎ Performing poaching prevention activities;
▪︎ Gathering information and retention data; and
▪︎ Implement conservation work in reserve forests.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
▪︎ Recruitment of a Bachelor of Wildlife Science from a Government recognized University.

3. BEEKIPING OFFICER  II - 2 POST

DUTIES:
▪︎ Managing the establishment of beehives and bees.
▪︎ Announcing Beekeeping Policies and Laws
▪︎ To teach beekeeping lessons.
▪︎ Gathering resources data and beekeeping.
▪︎ Planning and measuring quality of bee products.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
▪︎ Recruitment of a Bachelor's Degree in Beekeeping or Plant Science, Pest or Animal Education from the University of Dar es Salaam or other recognized Government Colleges.

4. TOURISM OFFICER - 1 POST

POST CATEGORY (S): TOURISM AND TRAVEL

DUTIES: 
▪︎ Gather information on new tourist destinations in collaboration with all stakeholders;
▪︎ Providing tourist licenses to hotels and tourism agencies;
▪︎ Gathering and keeping tourist statistics and tourist trips;
▪︎ Finding and organizing tourism training opportunities locally and abroad;
▪︎ Responding to complaints from tourists;
▪︎ Provide expert advice to stakeholders in the operation of the Tourism business.
▪︎ To organize various inspections of tourism agencies;
▪︎ Analyzing tourism agency projects and hotels;
▪︎ Checking hotels, loops and restaurants;
▪︎ Respond to and respond to complaints raised by tourists;
▪︎ Provide expert advice to the tourism agency;
▪︎ Gathering information on new tourist destinations in collaboration with all stakeholders;
▪︎ Gathering tourist data on destinations / tourist destinations;

▪︎ Preparing to review tourist attractions in the country;
▪︎ To conduct awareness campaigns / seminars on tourism promotion;
▪︎ Participate in reviewing EIA environmental impact assessment reports;
▪︎ Collaborate with various environmental organizations / organizations in tourism and environmental activities;
▪︎ Gather operational resources from internal and external sources.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 
▪︎ Recruitment of a Bachelor / Diploma in one of the Tourism or Hotel fields from Government recognized colleges.
