About the positions

1. Service Centre Technician

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, outstanding individual to join our Service Centre Team and to actively participate in all Service Centre activities for the SICPATRACE solution in Tanzania. 
▪︎ Actively participate in all Service Centre activities, including the central Support Line and support email account, to ensure that all inquiries and requests are quickly answered and promptly resolved / fulfilled
▪︎ Serve as a first point of contact for the customer and system users for solution service and support
▪︎ Coordinate with the Field Service & Support and IT Support teams to ensure that all corrective maintenance activities are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner
▪︎ Ensure that external and internal SLAs are met and that issues are escalated appropriately and resolved in a timely manner
▪︎ Actively participate in the management of work on incidents, problems and change requests, including planning and coordination with the customer, the local Field Service & Support and IT Support teams, and the external 3rd level support teams, key deliverable reviews, acceptance testing and deployment coordination
▪︎ Analyse incident and PRB trends and raise PRBs of repeat incident occurrences
▪︎ Close incidents, problems and CRs after verification that the underlying issue(s) have been resolved
▪︎ Actively participate in the development and delivery of solution-related trainings for the customer and taxpayer system users as well as internal training for new and existing team members
▪︎ Responsible for status reporting, including Operational Performance Management and Service Management reports, as scheduled or as required

Essential Qualifications:
▪︎ College degree or technical training in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience
▪︎ Minimum 2 years’ experience leading a service center / technical helpdesk team
▪︎ Fluent in English and Swahili
▪︎ Strong troubleshooting skills and demonstrated abilities to diagnose and analyse software issues
▪︎ Experience managing 1st level support activities (Service Center, Support Line, etc.)
▪︎ Experienced with quality and performance monitoring processes
▪︎ Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
▪︎ Experience troubleshooting computer networks
▪︎ Knowledge of basic IT support procedures and tools

2. Human Resource Generalist

The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources Manager with all HR responsibilities and activities. To ensure success, the HR Generalist should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training.

▪︎ Maintain & manage employees’ HR files
▪︎ Assist in talent acquisition, recruitment processes and future staffing needs
▪︎ Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
▪︎ Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
▪︎ Generate and distribute monthly pay slips and annual tax forms

▪︎ Support management in ensuring that all SICPA policies, including those concerning HR, Travel, and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) are fully followed. This includes conducting Training/sensitization sessions and periodic communication to all employees
▪︎ Lead HR improvement projects
▪︎ Provide any other kind of HR administrative support to employees

Essential Qualifications: 
▪︎ Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
▪︎ 2-4 years experience in human resources with demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field – excellent knowledge of Labour laws
▪︎ Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems, SAP knowledge would be an advantage
▪︎ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
▪︎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
▪︎ Excellent written, verbal, listening and interpersonal communication abilities
▪︎ Able to effectively handle various demands from employees and management

▪︎ Providing IT system administration support to our client and operations
▪︎ Manage systems running applications and database systems including storage, monitoring & backup responsibilities
▪︎ Operate solutions and systems using industry standard tools (Puppet, Nagios, Splunk)
▪︎ Perform security maintenance on the system in line with the company’s global policies
▪︎ Maintain the CMDB of all IT related items
▪︎ Configure and operate the solution monitoring tools
▪︎ Collaborate with global teams across the world
▪︎ Report on system health and escalate issues if needed
▪︎ Maintain the DRP location and support the SLA enforcement of the solution
▪︎ Manage IT vendor contracts
▪︎ Perform capacity planning, system patching, backups

Essential Qualifications: 
▪︎ 5+ Years of system administration experience required
▪︎ Background in service provision in a production environment such as a data center or customer consulting services
▪︎Experience with Operating System Administration, specifically RHEL, Windows Server & Client
▪︎ Experienced SAN and Networking administrator with provision, implementation and support environments
▪︎ Experienced system architecture design including resource calculation, high availability, security and administration complexity
▪︎ Experience with virtualization technology (VMware)
▪︎ LDAP, User and administrator access and administration
▪︎ Knowledge of ITIL and system administration best practices
▪︎ RedHat Certification strongly preferred, CISCO certification also a plus
▪︎ Preferably a degree in a technical field, or a Diploma with extensive relevant experience
▪︎ English & Swahili
