Job Summary
The Sales Team Leader will oversee the function of coaching, motivating, coordinating and supervising the sales team to reach company targets.
Responsibilities:
An ideal candidate will perform the following responsibilities;
▪︎ Planning and coordination of all sales (and Ongeza) activities to meet or exceed targets
▪︎ Monitoring of sales process and reporting of issues to continuously improve sales
▪︎ Identify coaching needs per individual Sales Officer and deliver coaching sessions accordingly
▪︎ Providing effective coaching sessions by phone and by regular travel to Sale Officer’s ward
▪︎ Analyzing Sales Officer's performance and work record reports on a daily bases
▪︎ Ensuring Sales Officer’s and Agents complete all sales by depositing money into the mobile money account
▪︎ Delivering, monitoring and auditing of Ongeza products and stock levels with Sales Officers
▪︎ Encouraging Sales Officers to meet their targets and sharing lessons learnt with colleagues
▪︎ Representing the Values, Mission & Vision of Ongeza
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will have the following qualifications;
▪︎ At least a Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or other related field
▪︎ 3-5 years of experienced in sales and customer relationship management
▪︎ Excellent communicator and able to use enterprise software (e.g. MS Office or sales software)
▪︎ Proven record of growing and leading a team while meeting targets
▪︎ Should be able to ride a motorcycle and should own a valid driving license
▪︎ Ability to work in rural areas and willingness to spend 2-3 hours per day on a motorcycle
▪︎ Fluency in Kiswahili and strong command of English
▪︎ Comfortable working in the start-up environment
