Good Neighbors Tanzania is looking for individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following job positions below; 

JOB VACANCIES 

1. Job title: Enumerators 

Reports to: Monitoring and evaluation Officer 

Location: Dar es Salaam 

Contract Duration: 10 days (August 2020) 

Job Summary 

Our office is working on implementing pineapple project through IGA in Pwani region. Therefore enumerators will be responsible for collecting data from the pineapple farmers, conducting data verification in the FI form system, submit completed forms to the supervisor as well as discuss developments and thereafter conduct data entry in the system. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

▪︎ Collecting data from the pineapple farmers

▪︎ Conducting data verification in the fI forms (system)

▪︎ Submit completed forms to the supervisor and discuss development 

▪︎ Conducting data entry in the system 

Qualification, experiences and competencies: 

▪︎ College education level preferred university graduates 

▪︎ At least one year with field data collection experience

▪︎ Proficiency in official reports preparation, data collection, time management and communication skills

▪︎ Collaboration and team building, problem solving skills

▪︎ Creative and Innovative

▪︎ Strategic in decision making

▪︎ Flexibility 


2. Job title: Administration Officer 

Reports to: Program Manager Location: Dodoma

Contract Duration: 1 year 

Job Summary 

Good Neighbors Tanzania Dodoma Area Office is currently executing a community project covering three villages in Bahi District. For effective implementation of the project in Bahi it require administrative personnel who will be responsible for supporting in the follow up of compliance matters as directed by the finance and administration department. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

▪︎ Office cash management, activity retirement review and recording · Budget requests preparation, review and documentation

▪︎ Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

▪︎ Organize and booking of transportation for staff travelling to the field

▪︎ Perform HR related issues

▪︎ Office vehicle management

▪︎ Perform competitive bidding for project works

▪︎ Maintain office inventories and supply of office goods 

Qualification, experiences and competencies: 

▪︎ Diploma or Bachelor degree in Administration and procurement field

▪︎ 2 – 3 years of work experience in administration field (with accounting background)

▪︎ Proficiency in official reports and communication skills

▪︎ Collaboration and team building skills, problem solving skill

▪︎ Creative and Innovative

▪︎ Strategic in decision making

▪︎ Flexibility

▪︎ Knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

3. Job title: Project Officer (INTERNSHIP Opportunity) 

Reports to: Assistant Manager 

Location: Nambizo, Mbozi - Songwe 

Contract Duration: 4 months contract (Aug – December 2020) 

Job Summary 

Good Neighbors Tanzania Nambizo Field Office is looking forward to hire and intern for a position of project officer who will be responsible to make follow on the income generation projects related to agricultural activities in Nambizo and Shitunguru.

Duties and Responsibilities:

▪︎ Responsible to manage income generation projects related to agriculture in Nambinzo and Shitunguru community development projects

▪︎ Partner with project stakeholders to effectively plan, implement, and monitor Income Generation activities regularly

▪︎ Make follow up of repayment for all farmers who were given agricultural inputs as loans

▪︎ Ensuring that farming activities is profitable and meets some projected financial targets

▪︎ Conduct market research and write proposals for coffee and some of coffee products in order to develop income generation activities

▪︎ Develop the strategy plan and framework to promote the development of cooperatives and coffee farmers group in Nambinzo and Shitunguru CDPs

▪︎ Schedule and participate in regular meetings with Income Generation group participants and associated beneficiaries.

▪︎ Responsible for supporting the advocacy programme’s (such as advocacy practices at school)

▪︎ Actively assist and participate in project events (workshops/trainings)

▪︎ Community Partnership and Network building (Nambinzo and Shitunguru CDPs)

▪︎ Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Qualification, experiences and competencies: 

▪︎ Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Bachelor of Rural Development, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture General, Bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Bachelor of Science in Applied Agricultural Extension

▪︎ At least 1 year experience in Project Management, Agriculture and Livelihoods Programme, marketing and research

▪︎ Knowledge of computer and software application; MS package, QGIS, SPSS, report writing and presentation

▪︎ Collaboration and team building skills, problem solving skill

▪︎ Creative and Innovative

▪︎ Strategic in decision making flexibility
