Inades Formation Tanzanie is a non-governmental organization (NGO) affiliated with the international association of Inades Formation. It was established in 1989 as a branch of Inades Training Kenya. In 1992, it became an independent National Office. In 1994, Inades-Formation Tanzania became a National Association, registered with the Ministry of the Interior of Tanzania. Governance is provided by a Board of Directors. As a member of the Inades-Formation network, Inades-Formation Tanzania shares its vision of “A prosperous and influential rural world”.

1.  Job title: Project Officer – Correspondence Course (PO – CC). 

Location: National Office, Dodoma City. 

Job Purpose:

The PO – CC is responsible for the preparation, management and execution of correspondence courses delivered by the organization. The position performs its duties under the Chief of Pedagogy Department (CPD).   

Duties and Responsibilities

▪︎ Reflect on the whole process of CC and give suggestions to the IFTz management team on areas of improvement.

▪︎ Prepare and facilitate continuous assessment, give feedback to the clients and keep records of various completed assignments for the appropriate adapted models to be identified and used within IFTz. 

▪︎ Review and assess the existing materials to determine relevance against various target groups of the CC and or develop new materials where appropriate.

▪︎ Identify course writers and participate in the development of various course materials Review the publicity approach and the tools used in providing CC, propose and enhance the use of appropriate approach and tools

▪︎ Identify organizations and or institutions for partnering in the provision of high quality and updated distant learning trainings relevant to various target groups

▪︎ Undertake the establishment of free helpline (huduma kwa mteja) to facilitate farmers and other clients access information related to their enrolment into the CC.

▪︎ Document success stories from graduate farmers and disseminate through cinema, video show, television program and radio program to sensitize other farmers to join CCs

▪︎ Design and promote use of ICT in providing distance learning for enhancing people’s knowledge and skills.

▪︎ Under the supervision of CPD, takes part in drawing up of Annual Budget through identifying activities to be done, duration etc., within the framework of Policy Guidelines.

▪︎ Prepare activity and monthly reports, participate in all meetings organized by IFTz under the supervision and evaluation of the CPD.

▪︎ Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.

Key requirements:

▪︎ Tanzanian citizenship;

▪︎ minimum Bachelor’s degree in adult education, agricultural extension education or related field;

▪︎ experience with design and use of ICT platforms highly preferred;

▪︎ At least 3 years of experience in facilitating distance learning;

▪︎ Excellent English writing skills, speaking ability and ability to translate training materials highly preferred.

2. Job Title: Chief of Administration and Finance (CAF)

Location: National Office, Dodoma City.

Job Purpose:  

The CAF is responsible for the administrative and financial management functions of the National Office (NO). The position performs its duties under the Managing Director (MD).   

Accountability:  The CAF is supervised by the MD of the NO, and is accountable Through the MD to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors (BOD).  

Duties and Responsibilities

▪︎ Assist the MD in drawing up of IFTz Plan of Action (POA) and preparing work plans, the budgets, and financial projects to donors.

▪︎ Heads the Accounts section – maintains proper books of accounts; takes care of all the NO budget­ing: calculation of financial costs & follow-up of implementation, budgeting of capital expenditure and indirect recurrent expenditure, production of cash account plans & cash-flows.

▪︎ Assist the MD in working out policy for Financial and Human Resources Management, and ‘Partner­ship Policy’, Takes part in field training activities as part of the trainers’ team.

▪︎ Especially for financial, economic and business management activities with farmers.

▪︎ Ensures the best practice of internal control and audits Takes part in the design of IF Mission; participates in Board of Directors’ Meetings as may be deemed necessary, but without voting powers.

▪︎ Supervises directly all the support staff, as well as the personnel, administrative, financial and mana­gerial obligations of other senior staff.

▪︎ Staff management, including setting-up and follow-up of personal files, follow-up of employment agreements, job analysis, description, appraisal and evaluation, and renewal of contracts in collaboration with the MD.

▪︎ Supervises directly the work of support staff: Assistant Accountant, Secretary, Driver, Office Clerk, Watchman and Messenger. 

Key requirements: 

▪︎ Tanzanian citizenship;

▪︎ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or related field; CPA will be an added advantage;

▪︎ At least 3 years of experience in accounting and finance with NGOs;

▪︎ Experience in managing financial transactions on multi donor-funded programs and familiarity with NGO regulations;

▪︎ Experience with relevant financial software packages, including Microsoft Excel; Sage 100;

▪︎ Excellent English writing skills and speaking ability.
