JOB TITLE: HSE Specialist

Job Summary 

To support the HSE Manager in delivering an improved safety performance and promoting a positive health and safety culture through implementing, coordinating and maintaining the Health and Safety policies whilst complying with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.


1. Regulations Monitoring  

Collects, assess and consolidates product safety data from the raw material supplier by:

▪︎ requesting all relevant document

▪︎ evaluating accuracy of content

▪︎ assessing against SICPA standards

▪︎ requesting further information if needed

▪︎ confirmative evaluation that responds to the requirements of SICPA   

2. Maintains & develops regulatory knowledge by: 

▪︎  screening regular information provided by service providers to proactively initiate the upcoming regulatory changes

▪︎ requesting specific assessments for the business through service providers

▪︎ keeping up-to-date with national and international regulatory changes on chemicals

▪︎ attending conferences and seminars   

3. Compliance Risk, Recommendation & services

▪︎ Provides recommendations and guidance to minimize risks and costs by evaluating impact on product safety and compliance, and customer specific requirements

▪︎ Contributes to projects/initiatives to improve occupational health conditions, hygiene safety and environmental safety in the company

3. Audit Inspection and Visit 

Executes the operational audits and/or HSE safety walks by:

▪︎ following the questionnaire

▪︎ consolidating the result and providing recommendations

▪︎ transferring the report to the Manager   Information 

4. Sharing with External Stakeholders 

Informs about potential hazards linked to SICPA products or other through safety data sheet and labels by:

▪︎ sending out automatically safety data sheet for major changes

▪︎ sending out updated safety data sheet and labels with following delivery   


▪︎ Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field required or Environmental Degree

▪︎ Training in Quality Management, Trade, Health and Safety, Administration, Public health and Knowledge Level of regulatory compliance laws (OSHA) will also be considered

▪︎ Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001)

▪︎ Excellent experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Tools

▪︎ Experience in Supplier Quality Management

▪︎ Experience in Supplier, IMS and Process Audits 

▪︎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

▪︎ Strong knowledge of SPC

▪︎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

▪︎ Capability to listen and understand others

▪︎ Working effectively with different organizations at multiple levels across CH and geographically-distributed Local Entities
