Job Title: Legal Officer
Salary Grade: TSG10
Location: Regional Office, Dar es Salaam
Reporting to: Senior Legal Counsel
Deadline: 16th October 2020
Job Purpose
To assist Senior Legal Counsel in handling litigation cases and ensure that company transactions and business activities are in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Responsibilities
● Institute legal Proceedings on the behalf of the company and defend those against the company contention infringements, in order to safeguard operations and/or transactions.
● Draft Contract/Agreements for the procurement of company materials/items and edit those prepared by any departments in the company to ensure their compliance with the legal provisions.
● Maintain company legal documents and register them with appropriate bodies.
d) To assist the Senior Legal Counsel in providing legal advice on various matters.
● Perform any other tasks as may be delegated by the Senior Legal Counsel.
Qualifications and Experience
● Bachelor of law (LLB)
● Form four and six Academic Certificates
● Minimum experience of 2 years in the position of legal officer from any reputable organization
● Extensive knowledge in various legal practices
● Computer literate, preferably in Microsoft Office and advance level in Microsoft Excel.
● Possession of a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
● Not more than 45 years old
